What makes you excited to work in the Brandizzi Lab?

Federica's lab is well known in the plant community for producing quality work.  I am looking forward to being part of the group and contributing to the work produced by the lab.

Research focus:

My main focus is to help out the with the cell wall projects where we look at the effect genes such as cgr2/3, ST, MAN1, etc. on different components of the cell wall such as pectin and MLG (mixed linkage glycan) in various plants (Sorghum, Brachypodium, Arabidopsis) to see if we can increase these components to enhance productivity of the plant.

A little bit about myself:

Something I really enjoy doing is running and strength training.  I like the feeling of accomplishing a feat that seems daunting (marathon) and I love feeling strong which is the result of both sports.  I also really enjoy reading and baking.
